Birth of The Snug Rug Company

The Snug Rug Company was born from my love of comfort, family, and innovative products discovered during a decade of living in Asia. While raising two young children overseas, we stumbled upon the Momomi Japan product — a unique, super soft rug featuring exclusive High Elastic PuffySponge™ technology.

We fell in love with Momomi Japan and these wonderful rugs were extremely popular, especially among young families. We appreciated the comfort, durability, and the warmth they brought to our home. The fun and engaging experience they provided for children made them even more appealing.

Our Passion for Comfort and Quality

After moving back to the UK in 2022, I knew that we wanted to share this wonderful product with other families and bring the Momomi rug to the UK. After working closely with Momomi Japan, The Snug Rug Company was created! We became a new brand that would offer the same quality product to the UK market.

I'm passionate about sharing this innovative product with other families in the UK and wanted to create a brand that embodies the values of comfort, quality, and family.

Inspired by Japanese Tradition

Momomi Japan, the creators and manufacturers of these amazing rugs were inspired by the traditional Japanese Tatami mat. They developed a modern rug that is now available for every home, combining tradition with contemporary design.

A Well-Established and Multi-Award-Winning Product

While The Snug Rug Company is new to the UK and so are these wonderful rugs, the product is well-established in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. These rugs are multi-award winning in Asia and won Best Play in the UK in 2023 in the Project Baby Awards.

All rugs are made in small batches and we have the colours Olive Green, Grey, Cream, Light Brown Coffee and Navy available for next day delivery from our UK warehouse.
